sūmma Privacy Policy
1. Overview
sūmma is a browser extension that summarizes web pages into concise, readable insights. Privacy and user security are core design principles. This policy explains what data we access, how it is handled, and your choices.
2. Data Collection
Automatic Data Access
sūmma accesses web page content in the browser to generate summaries. Certain sensitive or private pages are excluded by default per our skip rules (see list below).

Users may whitelist or unwhitelist any excluded site via the extension settings if they choose to summarize those pages.
3. Third-Party Services
sūmma uses third-party services for processing:
- Cloudflare Workers — used as a secure proxy and orchestration layer. See their AI Data Usage Policy.
- Meta Llama 3.1 — used to generate summaries. See their Terms of Use (Commercial).
These services process data temporarily and, per their published terms, do not retain or use your data for training.
Data Retention by Converitas.ai
We do not retain any page content or summaries. The only data Converitas.ai stores is an email address if you voluntarily submit it (for waitlist/demo requests). No other persistent storage of page content occurs.
4. How Data is Used
Summaries are generated on-demand and returned directly to your browser. Page content is never saved on our servers.
Your email (if provided) is used only for communication regarding the extension or Converitas.ai updates.
5. User Control
- You can whitelist/unwhitelist sites via the extension settings.
- You may request deletion of any stored email by contacting support@converitas.ai.
- All other browser data is processed in-memory only; nothing is written to persistent storage unless you explicitly save it (e.g., caching or session storage).
6. Security
- All communications with third-party services use HTTPS/TLS.
- We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
- The extension code is obfuscated to protect intellectual property and integrity.
